Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes! Donations are tax-deductible under section 170 of the IRS Code and directly benefit the dogs at Grayhaven Rescue, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our Tax ID is 42-1993818.

Can I adopt a dog from Grayhaven Rescue?

We realize the dogs in our care are typically not adoptable due to age, medical status, special needs, or ongoing medical costs.  We would love to have you as a supporter to help us continue this meaningful work!

Question 3

Do you only take dogs that are old?

Accepted Answer

No, we believe that all dogs matter.  Many dogs that are older have medical conditions that make their daily needs difficult to care for.  Conditions like diabetes, cancer or incontinence require a lot of additional time and makes them very unlikely to get adopted. However we have taken in dogs that are younger that have a terminal disease.

Can I volunteer with Grayhaven Rescue?

Question 5

Can I talk to someone about surrendering my dog?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, we don't accept owner surrenders, but there are a number of organizations that can help. We only accept dogs from shelters, rescue groups, and animal welfare organizations so they can live out their best life in a loving home environment.

Do you have any breed or weight restrictions?

While we have no breed restrictions, we actively prioritize larger dogs since resources for them are often harder to find. Because our animals share a communal space, we focus heavily on individual temperament to ensure a safe, balanced environment for everyone.
